Why call this site “Newspaper Bokashi”?

The original site  http : / / bokashicomposting.com/ (now gone from the internet, replaced by just another site selling buckets and bran,)  cut the hype on EM bokashi (the commercial product) and expensive bran, by offering a DIY version of a Bokashi starter, using newspaper instead of expensive bran. That site disappeared temporarily in March and April of 2010. Its contents (Google cache:  25 Feb 2010), reorganized, are included here Bokashicomposting.pdf.    Actually, that same recipe can be used for cardboard (pizza boxes) or computer paper (fan-fold), as a carrier for the lactic acid producing bacteria, and in fact, computer paper is easier to separate after it is wet through and fermented (10-15 days). Shredded paper can also be used if one finds an appropriate way to dry it.

Other info in English included here is thought to contribute in the same direction.
